Green!

It is wonderful to see all the green grass, trees and flowers.  It seemed like summer was never going to arrive.  I love this time of the year when everything is fresh and new.  It reminds me of the new life we have in Christ as believers.  The most precious gift we ever receive.

Speaking of green this is a card I made for the sketch and color challenges on Splitcoaststampers.  I love this image from Flourishes, the old sailing ships were so majestic.
The colors we were to use were chocolate chip, old olive and very vanilla.  The base on each layer is chocolate chip, then old olive and then very vanilla.  The panel under the image is Stampin Up designer paper layered on chocolate chip cardstock and the edge is punched with the Martha Stewart stars border punch.
The image is stamped with old olive and popped up on dimensionals.  I punched a couple of old olive dots and covered them with Crystal Effects for my faux brads.  One corner of the image panel has been punched with a corner rounder punch.  Added old olive ribbon and a seaside piling to finish it off.  I know green is an unusual color for an ocean scene but I really like how it turned out.
